The Onward State Snarkies were tonight! Basically it’s a fancy (well, maybe not…) award thing where we get ridiculous awards. AND we get to dress up!
- Vintage dress from Rumors in Richmond
- G by Guess platform stilettos
- Some funk 80s-esque star earrings from some store in Newport, RI
- BIG HAIR.
My Snarky will be up later. It’s pretty funny.

Best place to get breakfast ever. (Taken with instagram)
YAY!
Tomorrow I’m off to Richmond.
Also, that means I get to go to 821 Cafe, also known as the place I fell in love with after the Bright Eyes/Cursive show.
I ate my birthday breakfast there, and it was spectacular. I probably blogged about that wonderful breakfast on my birthday, hah.
Oh, and my budding hipster brother gets to go shopping at Need Supply, and we’re going to Short Pump. Hellooooo H&M and Urban Outfitters!
I AM LE EXCITED.
Anybody know of any good places to get a tattoo (well, in my case touch up) done in Fredericksburg or Richmond?
I don’t mean Sorry Mom either downtown. I got my tat last year in Lancaster, at Freedom Gallery, and I loved the place. I’m just hoping to find a similar place here.

Birthday Breakfast!
My mom and I went to 821 Cafe for breakfast this morning. I fell in love with the place as soon as I stepped in. It’s kitschy, and the food was incredible! I wish Fredericksburg, Middletown, and even State College had a place like it.
I had Union Jack pancakes, which were pancakes loaded with blueberries, bananas, and chocolate chips.
Along with that, I had the rosemary potatoes on the side. They were phenomenal!
And on the table was a bottle of sriracha sauce. Kohl’s talked about how much he loves the stuff and how I needed to try it. Needless to say, I put some on one of my potatoes and I loved it! Then again, I just love anything spicy to begin with.
I had such a delicious birthday breakfast, and it was a fantastic way to start my day off :)
Well, this is good to know. Thanks random strangers on the interwebz!
…even though I have no use for the cheap beer, since I am not 21 yet, haha.
Hopefully The National will be just as nice as the 9:30 Club or The Chameleon Club.
I’m excited to be there in exactly one week :D
Question!
Has anybody ever been to The National in Richmond?
I’ve never been, and have questions.
What’s it like?
