I found a beautiful Moschino leather jacket at FORAGE downtown today. If only I had 2,300ish dollars…

Today I went to the Fredericksburg Fair with my mom and Hunty. I took lots of pictures of animals. I learned how roosters and turkeys sleep, got to feed cows tonight and saw a massive amount of peegs!

Oh and I ate fried Oreos, but that’s beside the point.

Consignment Stores Rock.

Today I went shopping for what my mother deemed “appropriate work clothes.” I ended up at Madeline Ruth, which is an adorable consignment store in Downtown Fredericksburg. I actually did a great job picking out some awesome stuff for me to wear…and I saved a boatload of money.

This is a Vineyard Vines polo. I’ve been in the market for new polos, and have been looking everywhere for some. I love Vineyard Vines (and my flip flops came today!) and have for years. In fact, I had a few of Hunter’s old VV polos that I used to wear (regardless of the fit, haha. Boy’s polos are slightly different than ladies polos.) and I loved them. I got this for $25. And since it’s used, it just means that it’s pre-shrunk! It’s also a much better fit than all my old Ralph Lauren polos that I need to give away. They’re too small!

Ah. Lilly Pulitzer, how I love thee. This is an adorable skort that I picked up for $39. Because I’m frugal, I wouldn’t think of spending the $80+ on one of these. This print features daisies on it. I was instantly sold on the daisies.

This is just a basic skirt from Forever 21 that I scored for $10. I’m actually wearing it now, haha. It’s a modest length for work and the added plus is that it has really deep pockets! That was what made me very happy. It’s very rare that I find some skirts like this with pockets that aren’t sewn into the skirt to make it look like it has pockets, or pockets that you can’t even fit a phone into.

This is a top that I fell in love with. And at $16, it REALLY was a score! I’m not sure if it was supposed to be just a top, or if it was a minidress, but it’s awesome. After doing some research about this brand (which I had never heard of before) I saw that the tops and dresses were quite pricey. The one part about this top that I’m in love with is the beading and stuff up near the top of it.  It’s also got an exposed zipper, and while I’m not too fond of most stuff with it, I thought it worked for this top. When I was buying my clothes, the girl ringing me up told me that her boss had been eying this top and that she was hoping it was going to be at the store on Tuesday when she got back. I feel bad that she’s not going to get it, buuuuut you know the saying…you snooze, you lose!

Overall, I had a great shopping day. I love it when I can find cute stuff for cheap. I wish that State College had more places like this, rather than the same old “generic” stores that all pretty much sell the same things. I’m not interested in clubwear. I’m interested in stuff that I can actually wear that isn’t too terribly expensive :)

Live shots, part two!

And on another note, both the drummer and the singer of Jukebox the Ghost noticed I was being the eager little photographer tonight. Jesse said he winked at me, and that it was really hard to play drums and wink at the same time, but I told him that sadly, the picture didn’t come out :( Ben told me that I was a great front row-er, and that he tried so hard to make me crack. I stayed strong, danced awkwardly, swayed to the beat, and he said that was great!

Also, I’m 99% positive that I was the only person who came from the state of Pennsylvania to see JTG. Haaaaaaaay PA Pride!

Live shots from tonight!

I love passing by these whenever I’m downtown. The bird is honestly my favorite one out of all of these :)

Ghosts exist.

I’m dead serious.
I’ve had too many encounters with the supernatural in my life. I can feel them when they’re around. It’s really freaky.

My latest experience? Being in the Federal Hill house downtown while babysitting the boys. The ghost was on the third floor, which is the floor where their room is. I felt something on my shoulder and kinda got this weird, eerie feeling.

Call me strange, or call me a liar. I’m honestly telling the truth.

Anybody know of any good places to get a tattoo (well, in my case touch up) done in Fredericksburg or Richmond?

I don’t mean Sorry Mom either downtown. I got my tat last year in Lancaster, at Freedom Gallery, and I loved the place. I’m just hoping to find a similar place here.

FREDERICKSBURG.

Y U NO HAVE GOOD BURRITO PLACES?

Seriously, I’m bummed. Chipotle’s alright, I just found out Moe’s closed, and other than that, we have no GOOD local places or chains. Wegman’s has a pretty tasty burrito though.

I know some of yall are from this wonderful area. Anybody care to help a poor girl out? I need a good burrito place!

Things I Will Be Doing a Lot This Summer:

  • Eating at Carl’s Ice Cream.
  • Eating Allman’s BBQ.
  • Lusting after Neato Burrito.
  • Tanning on the deck.
  • Complaining about how much I miss Lebanon/Lancaster.
  • Eating Wegman’s burritos, since there’s no other good place here…and Chipotle just doesn’t cut it :(

I saw this earlier this week on a car at Allman’s BBQ when I took Kohl there. We kinda just stared at this sticker for ages then laughed hysterically at it. It’s a great sticker.

  • People don’t smell bad
  • Downtown

Things I like about Lebanon:

  • THE JIGGER SHOP
  • Cows. Cows everywhere.
